A little bit about
​My main hobby at the moment is running a active Minecraft Server; New Beginnings, which has had 200+ players join and played. I created this server a few months ago and still has a very active and close community with new people joining each and every day.
Even though I created New Beginnings, I get a tone of help from my friend and moderator/hoster of the server MJRLegends. With his knowledge in the programming space, we've been able to create custom plugins onto our server for other players to enjoy.

Everything you see on this page has been made by us! I took the reigns on creating the graphics and the promotional images for the server and MJRLegends took upon the challenge on coding everything we needed for the server, which included some special custom plugins that you won't find on any other Minecraft server. Our awesome community provided with some screenshots of the server too!

The community has put a lot of creativity and thought into our spawn area for New Beginnings, over the last few months of the server being live, we've added a lot to explore and every single building as a memory attached to it. From players very first houses to their very own shops that they can use to sell items to others, the spawn is the centre piece of our entire world.
Every now and then we host a big server wide event, where we gather everyone that's on the server to come together and complete one huge objective. To the left are just a handful of the event we have held already.
We've also hosted a range of different ABBA Caving events! The aim is for all the players to mine and collect as many different ores and items as possible to earn points. Whoever had the most points at the end of the given time would be given in server rewards!

What makes our server different?
Seasonal Events
Since Halloween just passed, we decided to host our first seasonal event which lasted for the whole month leading up to Halloween. We are planning on hosting several of these leading up to Christmas and other holidays we choose.
Seasonal Items
We decided there should be something for players that are more active than others to be able to work towards. We've come up with some new items that you can only obtain when the certain seasonal event is happening, these new and exclusive items however does not effect the overall vanilla gameplay that our server is based around. These new items can only be bought with the new currency that has been introduced with our own custom plugin.
New Custom Plugin
For this first seasonal event, MJRLegends created our own plugin that is exclusive to our server, with this enabled players can create daily/weekly challenges to gain our new currency which then can be used to purchase seasonal items.
Every season we host a building event in our Seasonal Area that we create within the server. Whoever created the best creative build based on the theme won rewards! All players on the server voted themselves through our poll system to decide the victor. Take a look at just some of the builds that our community made!

Here are some of the builds!
For my Christmas build I decided to build an advent calendar and we managed to create a plugin to make it into the real thing! Every day of December all players could go to that days door and receive in-game custom items for them to use on the server! These items ranged from coins (to spend in the server shop), character cosmetic items, tier skips for our challenges plugins and much more!
Welcome To
For the Christmas Season we decided to go all out on a whole adventure for our players! Introducing ChillVille! My and my friend worked on this side adventure during the month of November and it turned out to be a great success! We released some teaser images for our community and it was worth the wait!
The ChillVille area was a completly different area of our server, our places could hop abord the ChillVille Express that was located in the Christmas Seasonal Area and they would be taken to this new adventure.
We created a little storyline for our players to follow along to which required a few different locations to place are NPC characters. Some of these included The ChillyInn, TinsleTrees & The WinterLodge.
In this locations and around the town, players found NPC's that they could go speak to using our in server conversation system. The NPC's would then give them quests for them to complete for rewards! Some of the quests included:
